DVD Box set containing all 8 Bluebird DVDs - the Ultimate guide to the restoration by The Bluebird Project.

Lift DVD:

This is where it all began- the search for the boat, her discovery and subsequent raising, culminating in the recovery of Donald Campbell himself.

A superb, moving piece of documentary making by the BBC.

Sky DVD:

First seen on television over Christmas 2010, our first documentary with Sky News was a resounding success and is now available to buy in a re-edited form with music by Marillion, no adverts, no news ticker, added credits and even a selection of outtakes!

Featuring Gina Campbell, ‘Robbie’ Robinson, driver-elect Ted Walsh, many of the BBP team and landmark CG imagery of the accident, this is an absolute must-have DVD release- fully sanctioned by Sky News.

Part 1:

This DVD, filmed in 2007 and the first of a series, shows The Bluebird Project doing what it does best - rescuing mangled pieces of seemingly random scrap aluminium and turning them back into Donald Campbell's Bluebird K7.

Part 2:

The long-awaited second DVD is here at last. Crammed with footage of the x-ray examination of K7's frame, then its homecoming following repairs at PDS Engineering.

Exclusive interviews with Gina Campbell and John Getty of PDS followed by Ken Warby's stint in the workshop fabricating a new seat pan for Bluebird are iincluded in these fifty minutes of profesionally shot and edited footage.

Part 3:

Part three in our DVD collection following the rebuild of Bluebird K7 details the difficult job of preparing and painting the frame and shows how we were able to save the entire floor of the boat from one end to the other with all the metal-shaping tricks and techniques along the way.

The disc also includes an amusing (it says here) 'meet the team' feature.

Part 4:

This 45 minute look into the world of the Bluebird Project shows how some of the most badly damaged panels were saved and the methods used to treat the insides of the frame tubes as well as a complete tour of the workshop, warts and all. (But mostly warts)

Part 5:

We’ve been busy boys and girls since last time and we reckon this DVD to be our best yet; produced and directed by Keith Blackburn, we see the sponsons in-build and the planing wedges being machined over at MKW Engineering as well as general workshop activity with all the usual silliness, plus you get a taste of the boat coming back to life with a look at the new engine and a detailed demonstration of the fully working original hydraulic water brake and air start systems. Marvellous!

Part 6:

The sixth in our intermittent series of DVDs captures some of the workshop activity before we set off for our Crew Training Exercise in Scotland, with a look at her new blue paint, a look at the launch and recovery cradle being finished off, and finally, we take the boat outside for some early engine runs!
